Hide & Seek by Monica Förster is hand-carved from solid maple and works both as a side table and as a container: the sculpted lid hides storage for things you want close at hand but out of sight.
Construction
Dimensions: Ø 40 x H 68 cm
Material: solid maple, hand-carved, with storage under the lid
Because of its demanding geometry and solid wood construction, fine lines may appear at the joints over time and the gap between top and base may shift as the wood reacts to humidity. Keeping indoor humidity between 40 and 60% minimises this. Solid wood is a natural material: colour and grain vary from piece to piece and small healthy knots may occur.
