Kodai Iwamoto

Kodai Iwamoto is a Japanese product designer and artist, born in Kagoshima in 1991 and based in Tokyo. He studied product design at Kobe Design University, where he took part in the DESIGN SOIL project and showed work at Milan Design Week, and later completed a master's degree at ECAL in Lausanne. Childhood memories inform pieces such as Pari Pari, a red oak work inspired by peeling cedar bark to make toys. For Systemtronic he designed the Naname coat stand, inspired by the moment a cut bamboo stalk slips down.
