The Ombra table by Jasna Mujkic is assembled from small Penrose tiles, non-repeating shapes named after the mathematician Roger Penrose, joined in solid wood into an abstract pattern that recalls the shade of a tree. It makes use of small offcuts that would otherwise go to waste, and it received an Interior Innovation Award in 2012.
Construction
Dimensions: Ø 55 x H 45 cm
Material: solid wood Penrose tiles
Additional stains, colours and wood species (for example cherry or elm) are available on request for larger project orders. Dimensions can be customised on request; please ask for a quote. Solid wood is a natural material: colour and grain vary from piece to piece and small healthy knots may occur.
