Collectie: GAN

GAN grew out of the textile roots of the Spanish Gandia Blasco Group: at the end of the 1980s, José Gandía-Blasco steered his family's textile business towards contemporary design and added rugs to the range. In 2008 that work became GAN, under creative director Mapi Millet.

The rugs are made by hand in India by skilled artisans, using natural fibres such as wool, cotton and jute alongside recycled ones. Traditional techniques meet designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Kengo Kuma, Sebastian Herkner, Raw-Edges, Charlotte Lancelot and Neri&Hu, with rugs treated less as decoration than as a way to shape a room. Poufs, cushions and small furniture complete the range. Since 2010, the GAN Women's Unit has supported women artisans in rural India.
