Patricia Urquiola

Patricia Urquiola is a Spanish architect and designer born in Oviedo and based in Milan. She studied at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and graduated from the Politecnico di Milano under Achille Castiglioni, then worked with Vico Magistretti at De Padova and led design at Lissoni Associati. In 2001 she founded Studio Urquiola with Alberto Zontone, working across product design, architecture and art direction, and since 2015 she has been creative director of Cassina. Her honours include Spain's Gold Medal for Fine Arts.
