“To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Zanat brand, I imagined this mysterious yet functional object. Perhaps an ethnic sculpture? A trophy from a vanished tribe? None of the above. I chose to design an object related to books—a bookend showcasing the craftsmanship of the park.
Assembled and disassembled, the combination of two forms—which together form a totem, and when separated, perform their function. The combination of wood and stone: an earthly and symbolic force.”
