The incredibly challenging oversized glass in the Bailey pendant was developed by a series of Australia’s premier glass artists at Canberra Glassworks, and continues to be produced by masters in the craft of glass blowing.
Using ancient Italian forming techniques, the molten glass is pressed into an optical fin mould to create a fluted impression, then expanded into a wooden mould that inverts the flutes onto the interior surface and forms a precise overall form full of fascinating visual refractions.
