José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales

José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales was born in Ontinyent, Valencia, and studied law at the University of Valencia before joining his family's blanket-making company. With designers Marisa Gallén and Sandra Figuerola he renewed the company's image, including a reversible rug collection that won an IMPIVA innovation award in 1990. Furnishing his house in Ibiza in 1996 led to his first outdoor furniture. He took over the company in 1999 and, as president and art director, has designed much of its outdoor, textile and lighting output.
