Mario Ruiz

Mario Ruiz is a Spanish industrial designer born in Alicante in 1965 and based in Barcelona. He graduated in industrial design from Elisava and founded his studio in 1995, working on furniture, lighting, office and technology products for more than 120 companies. His method starts from the function of the object and the aim of being useful. He taught at Eina and Elisava, has received more than 50 awards including Red Dot and iF, and was given Spain's National Design Prize in 2016.
